古植物学;植物区系;生物地理;植被演化;古环境;木本植物分类;叶片鉴定;叶结构;表皮特征;壳斗科;生物多样性;喀斯特;石生植物。1. 中国西南和中南半岛的新生代植物学研究,东亚和热带亚洲的生物多样性与植被的起源演化;2. 东亚和热带亚洲的特征植被(石灰岩群落、常绿阔叶林、热带季雨林)代表类群的生物地理学(如壳斗科、龙脑香科、豆科等);3. 基于叶片鉴定植物,以期解决应用(现生树木与化石的鉴定)和理论(叶结构、功能性状的系统发育、环境相关性)问题;4. 在探索现生喀斯特石生木本植物多样性的基础上,结合化石材料与现代植被学,了解该重要植被类型的地史演化过程与适应机制。
